Prince PT200 Review

The Prince Table Tennis Table has a 5/8-inch playing surface, the standard thickness for an indoor table tennis table of this price. This table is one of the cheapest Table Tennis tables you’re going to find.

That fact however is also shown in the quality of the table. This table, while described as being very sturdy, with reinforced braces on the side, actually breaks easily as reported by other customers. The table is however, easy to store and move around.

It’s got a two-inch steel apron that’s relatively small for an indoor table tennis table. While this isn’t a major concern, should the table be used continuously in a school or somewhere similar, you shouldn’t expect the table to be able handle the force and expect the table to fall-apart rather quickly.

It comes with a Standard net, racket, and ball holders; 1/2-inch wheels and measures 98 x 32 x 60 inches (W x H x D). The table is also backed by a 1-year warranty. Some have reported that assembling the table can be a hassle, expect to spend 2-3 hours assembling the table. The table does not come with any rackets or balls

Conclusion

Overall, this is a cheap Table tennis table. You should be purchasing this under the expectation that this is not the world’s best table.

The table thickness is the standard for the tables similar to its price, but that does not make the surface very good for competitive play. Recreationally, this is an average cheap table, nothing more. You can fold it quickly, it’s cheap, and it looks good when it arrives, but underneath the hood it’s made of rather cheap low-quality materials and you should expect this table to provide some long-term problems.

A Better Alternative

For competitive play, this is not the table you should purchase. Actually, this is not even the table you should be purchasing for a Table tennis table under 500. Check out the JOOLA Inside Table tennis table, it’s much better in my opinion and only costs $30 more. While the Prince Table tennis table has had issues with quality, set up instructions and assembly time, the JOOLA inside table has gotten nothing but glowing reviews and is the #1 selling Table tennis table on Amazon, and rightfully so.
